Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a black color with red highlights and a large foamy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was brewed coffee, anise, coffee syrup, and a hint of vanilla cream. The flavor was bitter and dryish with brewed coffee, anise, wood and floral hops. Long finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth.
