When we were asked to brew this commemorative beer… it was an instant YES from us, and truly, it was an honor to.
On June 28th, Cleveland Fire decommissioned Engine 21, the Fire Tug Anthony J Celebrezze and commissioned Marine 21, the new Fireboat Garret A Morgan. The ceremony was held at Collision Bend where we released “Aft the ‘Brezze” Red Ale which you can now find around town both in cans, and on tap at the brewery!
Aft the ‘Brezze Red Ale is a tribute to Garret Morgan and the Cleveland fireboat that bears his name. A fond farewell to the former boat, the Anthony J. Celebrezze, and a warm welcome to the new. With low bitterness and a big tropical fruit aroma, this ale creates a refreshing and delightful drinking experience. Raise your glass to celebrate the spirit of the heroic fireboat crew, as you savor “Aft the ‘Brezze” Red Ale- a testament to their enduring legacy!

Can 2$ at vintage estate. This stuff pour fairly light and clear, light brown with a darker orange tint. You know, many red ales aint really red but this one at least makes an attempt at being red. Nose is mild sweet malts. First big swig reveals a malty beer with what seems to be a little peat in there. Decent co2. A little bit of bitter bite start to show thru in the middle, mild astringent bite. Goes down pretty easy but could use some manners on the astringent bite. Decent finish with more astringency build yet can be appreciated for what it is. In the end it needs some help to keep up with Brew Keepers Eireann Dearg, Biker Rumblin Red, Sullivan's Maltings Irish Ale (Export Strength) or even local Beaver Brewing Horny Sheepherder. There, you have it.
