Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy brown head that left great lacing. The aroma was bitter and roasty with a cookie dough note. The flavor was bitter with a biting wood note, cookie dough, malt and anise. Long finish. Full bodied and creamy. Decent.
