Jacobsen Saaz Blonde is brewed according to Belgian traditions for light, top-fermented beers. The distinguished Czech malt Saaz, with its aroma of pine needles gives a rounded, aristocratic flavour. Extract of angelica adds a hint of juniper flavour to complement the fruity taste of the yeast. The colour comes from the Pilsner malt, characteristic of the Belgian “blonde” tradition, and from a touch of caramel malt, which adds a slight sweetness.

Personnaly, I was disappointing about this beer, far away of the real bavarian pils, soapy, chemical taste in the mouth, malt, avoid it. 31.05.2017, buying it at the coop supermarket, drinking it at Lausanne, Prélaz.

nice aroma of hops, and spice. Flavour is again, nicely hoppy in that belgian blonde way. The Saaz really ome through, they add a nice bitterness in the finish. A very enjoyable beer. Not quite sure why this, and the darklager have suh low ratings, they are very good beers.

0,75 l bottle from Meny, Blåvand. Clear dark golden, one finger white foamy head. Caramel and banana fruity on the nose.Taste starts pale malty, also fruity, hoppy, sweetness, crisp. Above average carbonated. Hidden alcohol. Nice.

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma bianca fine evanescente, color ambrato limpido, al naso è fruttata malto e luppolo, in bocca malto miele note erbacce date dal Saaz, leggero salato, corpo leggero, carbonazione moderata,, amaro moderato. Non è male ma è anonima. 27.04.18

Bottle from Coop. Pours clear amber with a little head. Aroma is strong brown malts, caramel, little fruity hops, some pine, caramel. Body is medium, rather sweet, with a low but lively carbonation, turning more bitter towards the palate. Rather hefty in texture, and only turns Belgian on the palate. Okay.
