750ml corked and caged bottle. Pours an opaque dark mahogany with red hue and a large, creamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, toffee, plum, fig, raisin, Belgian yeast and light spice. Sweet, complex flavour of caramel malt, plum, raisin, cherry, brown sugar, molasses, chocolate, red wine and spicy yeast with a dry, warming finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Very nice. Lots of complexity. The ABV is well hidden.

750 ml cork and crowned bottle. Nearly opaque dark brown color. Firm creamy beige head. First sip yields notes of dark dried fruits and sweet roasted malts. Midtaste brings hints of plum, fig and calvados. Finish is pure plum sauce and church chatter. Button up, it's gonna be cold out tonight. Exponentially delicious without being pretentious. You be the judge.

Bottle shared. Pours a clear, deep brown with a full 2 fingers of foam. Big nose of red currants, dates, plum and toffee. Booze is hidden really well with a complex bit of oaky wood and dark, late summer fruit. Smooth and finishes with more fruit and light booze. Very nice.

Unibroue can do it up all right. La Terrible only continues that. A locally obtained 750 ml slice of delight. A wire and cork opening, be sure it is not aimed at anyone after the cage comes off. The good news, I did not lose any product. With a pour I call it inky darkness, you can put any color you want on it. A large, just short of white, finely bubbled head, very nice lacing. The scent is a walk through the orchard. It gives up red plum and maybe fig, red cough drops. The taste, oh my, a yeasty ripe fruit start leading to maltiness, spice and a slight bitterness finishing. The alcohol is looking around the corner at me. Well done.Trois Pistoles may be slightly better. I will gladly take either one.

Bottle. A- Tart cherry, dark fruits, oak. A- Dark mahogany color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Raisins, plums, dark fruits, subtle booze. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- Pretty smooth, granted it had years of age on it and loaded with a variety of dark fruits I can’t quite bit a finger on.

Carbonatation moyenne-faible, corps moyen-dense.

Shared 750 ml. bottle. Dark brown with creamy tan head. Nice lacing which clings to the glass and slides downward. Aroma is slightly vinous, malt, yeast, hints of cherry. Taste similar to aroma. Marginally sweet. Highly carbonated, creamy, and smooth. A soothing warmth in the finish.

Bottle @ The Baroness. Pours dark brown with small foamy beige head, faint caramel aroma, high carbonation, taste starts with sweet molasses and roasted malt flavors, followed by medium bitterness, long syrupy finish. A tad too sticky sweet but still nice.
