Bottle. Clear copper-amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, butter, minerals, a bit of cardboard, honey, some fruitiness. Sweetish malt flavor with toast, caramel, a bit honey, a buttery note, some fruitiness, a bit of cardboard, and a minerally and slightly earthy bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.

Pours clear copper with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, biscuit, caramel and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear amber color with medium creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma is grassy, herbal and grainy malty. Taste starts with moderate sweet toasted malt with notes of caramel, grassy sour following and light bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Typical bitter, not outstanding, not my favorite stye, but still pretty quaffable...

Did not realise this had a cask and bottle listing until I came across it yesterday (11th Aug 2014) after having a bottle at my brother-in-laws house: something I have done many, many times. This is his prefered UK bottled beer and he always has a few in. Anyway let us get onto the beer: itโs OK but nowhere near as good as a well kept cask Pedigree in a cosy pub. Slightly red hue to the pale brown body, the white head, always leaving some lacing. Mildly sweet malts in the nose and taste with toffee flavours clearly coming through. The finish is a little bitter and hoppy, this helps to balance the beer nicely. I am sure this used to be creamier in the body years ago: sadly things change.

Bottled at home. Copper coloured with a fluffy rocky off white head. Some lace. Aroma is nutty malt, mineral with a touch of sulphur, tired stale hop. Flavour is cara and toasted malts, some unrefined sugars and some berry fruits in the finish. Middle of the road. Light chalky palate. Decent but dull.

Appearance- amber, a bit hazy, plenty of carbonation, fizzy persisting white head. Aroma- big hop presence, caramel hints, floral notes. Taste- medium mouthfeel, raisin, toffee, hop resins, bitterness, a bit creamy. Nice ale.
