Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Light cloudy amber with small off white soap sud head. Aroma of biscuit malts and citrus noted hops; too clean and standard. Taste is really nice and just shows what I know, quite bitter, orange, grapefruit and pine comes through with more power than expected, quite a bit of hop spice helped by a fine yet zingy carbonation. Medium bodied, smooth. After the look and aroma I was expecting to rate this sub 3.0. Its great when a beer surprises you.

16/6/2022. Cask at the 30th East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours clear dark amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, stewed fruits, some veg, and a mucky farty edge. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, touch of tart. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Tasted much better than it's aroma. Didn't seem right.

Small creamy white head left a collar on a clear light golden still body. Minimal floral aroma. Medium bodied, well carbonated to the fore with a crisp back. Herbaceous tasting with spices, tea, bitter pith, grapefruit & malt followed by a long fruity tangy finish. Decent Stuff

Bottle at home alongside the Sunday roast beef dinner. This is my sort of beer, a true to style English IPA with a gang of bitter hops running riot across the taste buds. It perfectly complemented the meal and slipped down a treat.

Bottle at desk. Opens with a hearty hiss. Pale yellow / straw coloured pour with a lively lasting white froth. Aroma is a bit funky, rustic straw and wheat grains with tangy pineapple, hints of brett and funk. Flavour is composed of pale grains, straw, rough wheat, tangy bitter pineapple and citrus rind, bitter grapefruit, little funk Assertive back of the throat/ Signs of a mild infection. Hint of smoke. Palate is medium light, effervescent. Ok slightly infected.
