Bottle @ Home. Pours deep amber with a creamy offwhite head. Aroma of caramel, fruity hops, green apples. Taste is sweet malt, caramel, grassy and fruity hops. Medium body, soft carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. Nothing really exciting, but welldone and highly drinkable. 140211

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2005. Brown body with a decent beige head. Nice aroma of fruity American hops and caramel. Flavor is sweet malt, slightly burnt caramel and fruity hops. Nothing extraordinary but a well brewed beer. Quite quaffable actually.

Picked this bottle up in Esbjerg, Denmark, Sept’ 08, consumed 08-01-09. Impressed that this Danish brewery had chosen to name a beer after me, very decent of them. Pours reddy brown in colour with a white head, Quite chocolatey, plenty of cocoa, pushy malts, even a little barley sugar. Touch sweet and caramely at times but not without its merits. Bottle from Fotex supermarket, Copenhagen. Chestnut, thin beige head. Red ale style, some fruity malts and some drying hop on end. Red ale. Bit light on flavour at end, but an ok stab.

Bottled. Hazy amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, some alcohol and fruity hops. Flavour is quite much exactly the same. Good balance, but not very exciting. Hides the ABV very well.

Bottled 75 cl (BB 07/2008)
Deep red color, small beige head. Sticky, harsh woody fruity and hoppy aroma. Licorice, hops and barleywineish flavors. Nice mild bitterness and sweetness in the aftertaste. Does not show its ABV strength.

A very pleasant surprise - this beer reminds me of north bridge extreme from nørrebro bryghus, but in a toned down and more drinkable (but much less kapoww) version. I like it a lot because it is balanced and it certainly hides the 7% very well. Very tasty, very easy to drink. I’m going to get more of this while it’s on offer at the local supermarket.
