Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a mostly dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Sly messy lace.
The aroma had some sweet caramel/toffee malts up front with a balancing sweet and woody coconut smell coming in with a little bit of toast and dark fruits.
The flavor was moderately sweet with an ample dryness and nuts coming in to blend fairly nice. Aftertaste leaned towards the caramel/toffee malts but super light. Not much of a finish, seemed somewhat nutty.
The palate was about medium bodied, perhaps a touch under with a fairly good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, I dig the idea of putting coconut in a brown ale and wouldn’t mind having this again if I could get it.

Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a dark brown color with a reddish hue and a large fluffy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was toasty malts and some nut. The flavor was coconut, wood, nut, dryish malts and a bit of bourbon. Medium length coconut and bourbon finish. Medium body. Tasty.
