Bottle from the Folsom BevMo. Pours a clear dark ruddy copper/amber with a very transient beige head. Aroma is bready with a little hint of hop. Med + body. Flavor is slightly sweet, rather bready in a different way, and has some lightly spicy hop. Sort of like an amber ale, which is interesting for a lager. Worth a try. Might go well with food.

11.25 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and deep amber golden with a small tan head. Aroma is mild vegetable yeasty and roasted malty. Sweet, beadish, roasted and vague metallic malt flavoured. Dry malty and slight dry finish. Lasting breadish to metallic impression.

Bottle. Metallic roast aroma, sweet licorice. Brown, off-white quickly dissapearing foam. Roast and caramel, flavor, light potato, licorice, bitterness in background. Medium to light body, fizzy. molassis retronasal. Liked it better second time around.

A strong amber lager with sweet potatoes as well as unmalted barley. A rich, rounded, sweet aroma of malt. Roasted amber malt flavor, balanced mostly by the alcohol. Quite sweet, chewy, and interesting. Well balanced, nice beer.

Deep amber/orange in color with a rocky tan beige head. One of the best looking "premium Lagers" I’ve had, actually. Malty, light earth hops, slightly sweet, and a bit ’o toastedness. Smooth, medium body with nice carbonation. Light toasted malts, caramel, and earth. A rather enjoyable lager; I’m impressed.

Medium yellowish beige head. Beautiful deep amber body. Sweetish earthy malty aroma with notes of candy, soy sauce, and water. Deep sweet earthy malty taste with caramel notes. Clean, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Traces of syrup. Full-bodied. Dryish-sweet wooden earthy malty aftertaste with roasty alcoholic notes. Some alcohol heat. Very nice. (0.33l bottle from Naito-san.)
