Can for 2.25$ at vintage estate. Pour is quite black brown with a very thin blanket for a head. I can see some dark red maroon rays of light peaking thru. Nose is strong black coffee, this is gonnah be a wake up call. First taste is also simple black coffee with no carbonation to speak of. Just one question; where is the porter? In the middle, can't even really tell there is any alky in this. Bold intense bitter roasted coffee liquid. Can't find any dark chocolate but it does show signs of a heavy earthiness. Starting to get some effects of soft co2. On the finish, I do think I'm getting a small sense of alky in there, but you'd never know its over 6%. This brew is totally one sided; bitter black coffee that may have set in a diner coffee pot on a burner for a while. There, you have it. Got a long way to go to get as good as Market Garden Midnight Vorlauf Coffee Porter or even Narragansett Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout.
