Due to its authenticity, Earthmonk received as little sugar as possible during bottle conditioning in order to preserve all original aromas and flavours. This beer comes with little carbonation and a mini head. Is best served at cellar temperature and poured generously, meaning from a hight of approximately 15 to 20 CM, in an upright standing tulip glass. A big bubbled head will quickly make place for the Earthmonk coming alive!

2008 vintage shared by Turd, this has been one of my White Walz forever. Poured a darker brown almost black with reddish edges, the head is bubbles. Nose is complex, pungent, fruity, vinous, woodsy. Taste is tangy, vinous, vinegar, woodsy, malty, metallic.

Tasting at Sam's in Chapel Hill. Cheers!

Dense, shiny, dark black pour.
Heavy plum, brown sugar, nice acidy nose.
Heavy black tea with lemon & aperitif, slight soot, lovely acid, lingering lemon, great earth.
Mellow to low carb, who cares, this is great.

Bottle at the beer bistro
Dark mahogany pour, with no head. Huge aroma of balsamic vinegar, tart apples, and touches of dark fruit. Zero carbonation, medium body. Tart finish, big vinous quality, port wine, and red wine vinegar. A true classic.

From a bottle at a RateBeer tasting. Pours a Murky brown with a scant head. Aromas are slightly funky. Flavors are slightly sweet toffee. Has held up pretty well for a 2008 vintage bottle.

Vintage 2013. Bottle 750 ml. Bottle lot. no. 20180001. BBE 31/07/2028. I have a long time to get tasta this beer, I have a high expectations. A dark brown beer, a head is small and beige. Aroma has balsamico, cherries, sourness, some earthyness, hint of barnyard and sweet dark berries. Taste has complex berryness, cherries, sourness, balsamico, hint of earthyness and oak. Medium bodied, slight stickyness as usual. Very complex and ahh so baalnced, my high expectations are fulfilled.
