Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with red highlights and a medium sized foamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweetish, roasty, almost smoky and had a faint fruity hop note. The flavor was toasty, woody and slightly dry with touches of smoke and red meat. Medium length finish. Medium body. Alcohol well controlled. Meh.
