Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a small creamy beige head that left good lacing. The aroma was roasty and slightly burnt with gritty espresso and coffee grounds. The flavor was very roasty and a touch smoky with notes of coffee grounds, espresso and a hint of dark fruit. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied and creamy. Well done!
