Half pint, 5.2 % abv, outside in the sunny backyard at Fat Cat. Near black in the glass, fair off-white head. Mid-sweet chocolate aromas, slightly roasted. Similar taste of chocolate malts and cocoa. Lightly roasted malt-driven finish. Nice, rather sweet though. (Sheffield, 28.04.2025).

Cask at Alexandra, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with virtually no head. There’s roast malts and some hints of chocolate inthe aroma. Roast malts again in the mouth, alongside toffee, vanilla and some hints of liquorice. Later on some cola and dark fruits come through as well, leading to a quite fruity finish. It’s reasonable if not outstanding.
