Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a brown color with a tan highlights and a large foamy tan head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was malty, toffee, caramel and raisin. The flavor was tart and sour with caramel, date, raisin, yeast, a hint of butterscotch and a bit of a boozy presence. Long finish. Alcohol pretty well contained. Full body. Interesting.
