Knutsford Brown Ale brewed with Belgian malt and English hops. Perfectly traditional, deep amber, fruity aroma, full-bodied, curranty, lightly bitter finish. Hops : Bramling Cross, Sovereign and Kazbek.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a hazy chestnut with a small cream head and good lacing. Malts to the fore in the aroma, plus some hints of chocolate sauce. In the mouth it is sweet with mainly malts and marmalade in the aroma plus a hint of chestnuts. Later on some traditional hops come through along with fudge and toffee. All leading to a bittersweet finish. It’s OK, but a bit nodescript.
