A smooth and easy-drinking porter that masterfully balances rich malt sweetness with a subtle smoky finish. The malt base offers a warm, toasty profile with hints of caramel and dark chocolate, while a light infusion of smoky flavor adds a layer of complexity without overpowering. This well-rounded porter is full of character but remains exceptionally drinkable, making it a perfect choice for both casual sipping and pairing with your favorite grilled dishes.

Can @ HJ Hansen, Odense. Pours Dark Brown with a large frothy head. Smooth and soft. Chocolate and slight roast. Ashes and a whiff of smoke. Harmonic though certainly not robust - but it’s 5%. Well made session quaffer.

Sample during the Hoppin' On Deck 4 tasting on 10/04/2025. Dark brown pour with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of smoked malt, chocolate and hops. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, bittersweet chocolate and mild earthy hops. The finish is smoky with a chocolatey malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Aromas are dark malt, roast, smoke, with a little molasses. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose and just slightly leaning sweet with good bitter, tart balance. Very nice beer.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear brown with a significant creamy tan head that turned foamy and laced. Aroma is more chocolate than smoke. Med body at least. Flavor is dark malt, almost like Tmavy, with smoke and chocolate. Dry and decently bitter. It's a good ale.

My 25th Hoppin’ Frog beer rating. 16 ounce can from Tavour. Number one with a bullet. Translucent cola brown color. Rocky tan head. Nice clinging lace. Aroma of toasted malt, cocoa and mild smoke. Flavor mirrors nose. Added notes of caramel, bitter hops and mild smokiness.
