They are going all the way with dry hopping and bitter hopping this into a lovely, refreshing, session ale. Probably the best in Japan for drinkability today. This rating is the 7 hop version on tap at Q-Brick. A huge improvement over the first time I had it. On tap at the brewpub, 2007: 8/3/6/3/14 = 3.4 Dark gold with a touch of orange. Thin head that quickly goes to fine lace. Big cascade aroma that is fruity, hoppy, clear and appealing. Very fruity flavor, a bit sweet, but with pretty good hops too. Malt flavor is ok but a little thin, truly “pale.” Lots of fruit, and a good balance. Good, although they say it has no out of the ordinary characteristics, and that is right. It could be pumped up a little better, though it is clear and good.
