We continue to bend the precepts with a Double IPA series unlike any other... the Contortion Series of Fruited DIPAs. The second release in this series has been blasted with blueberries, accentuating the hoppy twists and creamy bright body in tantalizing ways.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: burnt orange haziness with a one finger white foamy head which slid off at a nice pace to leave some messy lace
Aroma: blueberry fleshy and with some tart skin, subtle grassy/floral hops underneath, clean malts
Flavor: bittersweet through the prior noted aromas, tart skin as an afterthought, mild aftertaste of blueberries and malt
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper, smooth along the tongue, smooth finish of blueberries and clean malts
Overall: lovely DIPA involving the authentic use of blueberries, of course I would love this again.

Pours a cloudy dull orange color with a thin off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Floral hops, malt and blueberry in the nose. Medium body with flavors of floral hop, bready malt and subtle blueberry. The finish is mildly bitter with a berry and hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
