Sample at the taproom. Black pour with some brown around the edges, and a medium creamy beige head that recedes gradually to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and hops. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, bittersweet chocolate and piney hops. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
