Sample from cask at the tap room during the "Barrel-aged Bottle Release Party" on 01/28/2017. Dark ruddy brown color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of vanilla, roast malt and chocolate. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, vanilla and cocoa. The finish is sweet and syrupy with a vanilla and chocolate malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
