Handpicked in perfect condition at the peak of ripeness, these heritage pears have been freshly pressed, the result is a beautifully balanced cider with the sweetness of Beurre Bosc, the lift of acidity from Red Sensation and the vibrancy of Duchess pears shining through. This cider is delicious straight up, or muddled with fresh ginger and a cinnamon stick to pour over ice for a pre dinner drink.

330ml bottle from Isetan, KLCC, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a greenish golden colour with a few bubbles. The aroma is of course pear. The flavour is moderate sweet with a light, fruit, dry, grainy, sweet but light tart fruit palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. I’m no cider fan but this was rather pleasant on a hot Asian evening.
