Sample at the taproom during GABF Week at Mockery on 10/05/2019. Pours black with some mahogany around the edges and a medium creamy off-white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Sparse patches of lace. Oak, fruit and malt in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of vinous oak, roast malt and chocolate. The finish is oaky with a wine and chocolate malt aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
