02/16/2018 bottle. The beer is a clear dark reddish-brown color with a medium thin light beige head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lacing. Aroma of tart fruit, oak, yeast and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of tart berries, bourbon, oaky vanilla and malt. The finish is tart berries and cherries up front with an underlying sweet bourbon aftertaste. Good beer all around.
