From cask. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dense chocolate dusty. Sweet chocolate malt flavoured. Sweet - no bitterness really. A bit of dark roasted malt too. Lasting sweet into the finish.

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Near blackdense creamy head. Rich aroma of cocoa powder and milk chocolate. Mid sweet with light body. Astringent bittersweet cocoa powder flavour. Getting more bitter towards an almost resiny finish. Feels a bit sloppy and gives me slight but scary Floris Chocolate connottions.

(Cask at White Horse, Southwark, London, 21 May 2010) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with loads of chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, dark fruit and dark bread. Medium body, fairly sweet, with some cocoa bitterness. The chocolate taste gets quite dominant, but never cloying. Quite nice, a bit one dimensional but with a great chocolate pudding character.

Cask-conditioned at the Bank, Bristol 8/05/10. Jet black, with a decent off-white head that left plenty of lace down the glass. Chocolate powder aroma with some roastiness. Massive milk chocolate flavour, with some balancing roasted malts. The finish was sweetish with a lingering cocoa after taste. Very drinkable, if a bit of a novelty.
