Cask at GBBF 2010. A black beer with a red shine under a brown head. The aroma has strong notes of chocolate, medium notes of milk, and light notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate and roasted malt.

Bottle from Mr Lawrence Wine Merchants, Brockley. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Full on chocolatey nose. Lots of chocolate sponge cake and chocolate milkshake aroma to titillate the nasal passages. Smooth., creamy flavours. Some coffee, milk chocolate and vanilla taste. Sweet, light bitter finish. Tasty.

Bottle at home. Dark brown pour with a medium, beige head. Sharp, bitter chocolate on the nose with light syrup. Good, medium sweet flavor, lots of cocoa, light to medium roasted malts, mild ash. Medium in body with average and massaging carbonation. Feels great. Finishes with some brown sugar, bit of burnt wood, plenty of cocoa, faint bitterness, especially in the throat. Very good beer.

Decent off-white head atop of a jet balck body. Elegant aroma of dark chocolate malts. Taste of cold cocoa added by dark bitter fruits. Fine dessert qualities. Cask, half, at Fat Cat, Sheffield 1 Oct 10.

Cask conditioned handpump Anchor Birmingham. Beautiful choc on the aroma. Choc truffle flavour. A tad grainy in mouth. Very dry and a touch of powder. Lovely flavour, some hop sting on the finish. Good, could drink a lot of this.

Cask@GBBF. Clear dark ambery brown colour with mediumsized foamy beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, and some mild wooden and vanillaish notes. Flavour is chocolate some roasted malts and mild notes of coffee and some hoppy bitterness. Quite smooth palate.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A jet black pour with a medium beige head. Massive chocolate aroma. Tastes of sweet chocolate, malt, creamy, sweet. Really easy to drink although a bit of a novelty beer. I guess the ladies would enjoy this stout.
