Bottle on the train to Edinburgh, cheers to Chele for the pour - 08/12/12. Light black with a thin tan head that clears to the edge and forms a film. Nose is milk chocolate, light dark malt notes. Tastes of chocolate, roast malts, dark sugars, some dark fruits, molasses. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate. Decent.

Cask @ Cask and Barrel South, Edinburgh
Dark brown black, dense thin tan head, good lacing
Aroma - Dark caramel malts, sweet chocolate syrup, mellow roast
Taste - Soft roasted malts, chocolate syrup - a little bit over sugery like Hershey’s, chocolate malts, slight vegetal notes, soft roast, ok the chocolate is slightly artificial but it still tastes nice, so it’s a 7
Palate - soft carb, medium body, creamy texture. Finish as main flvour, dark malts and chocolate
Overall - It’s a nice stout, only problem is the chocolate can be detected as an addition to, rather than integral to the beer. I’d gladly drink a couple of pints of this despite it’s flaws

Bottle. Black beer with a strongish light brown coloured head. The aroma is sweet and milky chocolate with a touch of oatyness. The flavour is mildly roasted with a milky chocolate feel and a touch of bitterness. Overall a pleasant chocolate stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50cl bottle from Beer City, BB 03-2013. Holly hell this beer rocks, even at 4.8%. But I mean, why using chocolate syrup? really? like choco malt, added nibs, etc cannot give you enough of a choco profile. Thus, my only pet peeve with this beer. Brune foncee, col fin beige.

Clear black colour, reddish hue. Beige disappearing head. Looks filtered. Lots of chocolate in the nose. Chocolate sauce, cocoa, dame blanche. Slight vanilla. Flavour of chocolate sauce, bit artificial. Sweetish, slight malts, very slight bitterness. Bit light bodied. Finish quite long and becomes more pronounced bitter.
