Sample at the taproom during the Port Barrel Dire Wolf Release event on 01/26/2019. Brown-black color with a medium thick beige head that diminishes gradually to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of smoked malt, cocoa and fruit. Full-bodied with flavors of charred malt, chocolate and a slight hint of maple. The finish is sweet and roasty with a malty aftertaste. Good beer all around.
