Sample at the brewpub. Dark brown pour with some chestnut highlights, and a medium off-white head that recedes gradually to a dense film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of roast malt, vanilla and coffee. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, vanilla, cocoa and sweet maple. The finish is sweet and roasty with a chocolate malt and vanilla aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
