Sample at the brewpub. Pours black with some brown around the edges, and a medium tan head that diminishes quickly to a minimal film. Sparse spots of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Medium to full body with flavors of charred malt, dark chocolate and espresso. The finish is roasty with a malt and coffee aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
