Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a dark mahogany-amber color with a medium thin light beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, fruit, caramel and slight hops in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of caramel malt, dried fruit and mild earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.
