Bottle [from trade thanks to Petrinoda] @ home. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized dark brown colored head that diminishes quickly. Aroma is malts, bourbon, maple syrup I guess. Taste malts, bourbon, slightly sweet, maple syrup, a slight and soft underlying bitterness, but mainly sweet from maple syrup and bourbon. Thick oily texture, full body, soft carbonation. Nice!

Thanks Matt for sharing the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing pitch black with no head. The nose shows a lot of bourbon with sweet notes of maple between. The palate is oily with a light carbonation. Flavors of roasted malts integrated perfectly with the bourbon. Finish shows the sweet maple but restrained and harmonious.

12 oz bottle poured. Eric! You’re the man! Pours a dense black, with almost no head. Super thick appearance. A rich chocolate, bourbon, and dark fruit aroma. Flavor is a dense, creamy chocolate and bourbon, dry oak like constant, tobacco notes, Vanilla, maple. Very complex. I’m starting to realize that imperial stouts key to greatness is the maple barrel. An imperial stout dressed up at it’s finest. Amazing beer.

330 ml bottle Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of vanilla, dark sugar, and rich chocolate. Flavors follow same, rich and creamy with syrupy sweet molasses and dusty roasted malts. Fantastic.

Pours black, not much head. Smell is boozy, Sharp, roasted. Taste is very thick, sweet, maple , boozy. Bit bourbonish, very Nice, but the maple is too Hidden, and the booze too strong.

On tap at Main Street, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of toasted English hops and somewhat piney, woods hops. Flavour is very crisp, white a wonderfully grassy and woody hop character upfront, and a toasted English malt backbone. Finishes dry and resinous, with that pronounced woody quality. Very nice.
