Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.5
Sample at the brewpub. Black pour with a medium thick foamy tan head that dissipates gradually to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and hops. Light to medium body with flavors of roast malt, espresso and chocolate. The finish is roasty with a coffee and chocolate malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
