Sample at the Asheville brewery. Dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of chocolate, yeast and raspberry. Medium body with flavors of earthy yeast, cocoa, raspberry and malt. The finish is chocolatey up front with a moderately tart raspberry aftertaste. Above average overall.
