Sample at the brewpub. Brown-black color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Roasted coffee, malt and dark chocolate aromas. Medium to full body with a roasty malt and coffee character, and flavors of bittersweet chocolate and hops in the background. The finish is charred malt and espresso. Good beer all around.
