Sample at the brewpub. Reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Roasted malt, coffee and hops in the nose. Medium body with a roasty coffee and malt character, with a bit of caramel and fruit in the background. The finish is sweet with a coffee and malt aftertaste. Above average overall.
