A more-ish and refreshing English bitter. Mellow fruity and herbal nose. Deep copper. Medium bodied. Finshes with nose of honey, orange and plum with a hint of floral spice.

Tap at the HCMC brewpub. Poured a clear copper colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, big dry woody hop bitter. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a crisp, fresh, dry malty, very light fruit, light sweet honey, light floral, big dry hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Well, it’s malty and very bitter, therefore true to the style. If only it were served warm and from a hand pump i’d be much happier! Given how bitter this was I’m surprised that the IBU is only advertised as 25.
