La Saigonnaise is a blond beer such as the one that Saigonese would drink at the beginning of the century, sitting on the Continental Hotel terrace. This beer with 5.9 degrees alcohol is a subtle and easy to drink beer that maintains a strong character and rich flavors. Brewed according to traditional techniques, using the best imported malts and locally sourced spices of excellence, this beer is inspired by the city from which it derives its name: sun, generosity, and a real intensity of fruit characteristic of the southern region of Vietnam.
La Saïgonnaise is very pleasant, very fresh, firstly we can smell aromas of young flowers and fruits. We find notes of white peaches and a lemony side that brings a lot of freshness. In the second time, we can discern notes of pomelo, slightly ripe pears or apples. Its unfiltered side brings it a beautiful golden blonde dress. Its foam is fine and light.
The taste of la Saïgonnaise has a good attack in the mouth which gives it a good vivacity. This initial flavour allows it to express a very good intensity of the fruit aromas that we had on the nose. These fruit aromas are based on a structured full body thanks to creamy / buttery notes that bring a lot of roundness. It’s bubble is fine which allows it to express all the complexity of its aromas. There is a slight bitter aftertaste that brings back the flavor of the beer and gives aromatic notes of leaven.

Bottle at The Bottle Shop, Hanoi. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is light toffee caramel malt, yeasty, light fruit, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, crisp, grainy, light toffee caramel malt, dry floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
