Can - black pour - nose of coffee, red wine, oak, whiskey - body is kind of thin for the strength - tastes like a fudge brownie soaked in bourbon, but not really in a good way - meh - I’ve been a fan of this series, but this one is a bit of a miss.

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, thin, silky beige head. Sweet, chocolate aroma, fudge, notes of vanilla, some alcohol heat. Taste is fudgy, chocolaty sweetness, vanilla, with a sneaky booziness that warms from within. Smooth.

Can from Tavour. Pours much like Guinness - small bubbles rising quickly to reduce a glassful of head. Liquid is dark brn/blk and head is dark tan - quite foamy in the end. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate and coconut. Full bodied. Flavor is the aroma plus some whiskey and fruit. Lots going on with this. Very good flavor.

On tap at brewery. Pours opaque dark brown with whin beige head. Aroma has dark berries, bourbon, cinnamon, old wood. Flavour has dry old wood, bourbon, cinnamon. Complex, very nice. Gets better as it warms up.

On tap at Fremont, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is complex, with plenty of bourbon barrels, coconut, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is nicely coconut-forward, with cocoa, bourbon and plenty of vanilla and coconut again on the finish. Great blend that combines the adjuncts well and retains the complexity of the base beers. Excellent.
