The Sampler, Brooklyn can: pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate and malt... not getting hot pepper in the taste or aroma... taste is a slightly bitter and light porter with a sort of wack metallic finish. Don’t think this really worked for me. Perfectly drinkable though.

Can. This must have been Evil Twins recipe because it is too good for Two Roads. Aroma is smoke, charged grain, cocoa powder and weak (green pepper) chili peppers.
The pepper are mild (thankfully) I am not a fan of huge hot peppers in my beer. This has enough chocolate, roast, and smoke to knock down the hot pepper. The body is nice for a porter as well/ leans on fuller. I was nicely surprised by this.

Can at home didn’t know it had chills in it or would have scrolled past but very subdued so not a bad choice. Dark brown pour. Nose is chocolate and some potatoe. I swear I can Tate the potatoe in this but yes it’s knowing its there. Chocolate, earth, some root beer touch of herbal tones. Smooth palate. Only faint pepper luckily although I had spicy dinner so perhaps I burned out my palate.

Can. Nearly opaque dark brown color, beige head. Earthy cocoa aroma with a hint of peppers. Taste has light pepper heat with plenty of pepper flavor plus earthy roasted coffee and chocolate. Very tasty.

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated quickly. Sly messy clingy lacing.
The aroma starts off with sweet dark and milk chocolate rolling into some sweet and spicy pepper. Light roasty coffee underneath, comes out after a little bit of warming. Some bittersweet cocoa bean. Light vanilla.
The flavor starts roasty smooth with a nice sweetness. Spice is there but just seems to balance well. Light chocolate and spice slides into aftertaste. Quick semi-smooth finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable smooth sweet feel. Roast and spice balance nicely with the appropriate harshness hitting my tongue.
Overall, so though there are spices added in this beer, in my opinion, they come across quite nice. I would have this again.
