This slightly sweet porter is brewed with select additions of crystal malts and sea salt to create flavors of peanut brittle and caramel without being cloying. The medium body and mouthfeel lay the perfect foundation to support the rich vanilla, oak, and bourbon flavors imparted by extended aging in bourbon barrels.

Can, 2024 vintage. Caramel aroma with notes of coconut, vanilla, banana, bourbon and oak. Pours deep caramel brown colored with a thin mocha brown head that has some retention and a little bit of lacing. Starts with caramel, banana and oak flavors as well as having a medium body and sticky sweet mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with coconut, vanilla and bourbon flavors. Not as complex as some barrel aged beers but flavorful and smooth.

0.355l can. Aroma of caramel, mildly roasted malt, wood, nuts and dried fruit. Pours cloudy dark brown color with large soapy light brown head, fair lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with light sweet roasted malt, follows by caramel, salt, peanuts and wood, mouthfeel is warm alcoholic, while finish is average bitter. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Salto portale…
