Sample at the brewpub. Dark brown color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, caramel and a touch of wood in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, mild hops and subtle wood. The finish is sweet with a caramel malt and hickory aftertaste. Decent overall.
