On draught at the brewpub. The beer is a brown-black color with a medium khaki head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of roast malt, anise, black coffee and chocolate. The finish is roasty with a coffee and malt aftertaste. Above average overall.
