Sample at Daily Growler UA during the "2 year Anniversary Celebration/Christmas Beer Party" on 12/17/2014. Pours black with a medium tan head that diminishes quickly to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of ginger and roasted malt. Full-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, sweet ginger and chocolate. The finish is dominated by the ginger aftertaste. Interesting idea but the flavors don’t add up for me. Decent overall.
