Sample at the Meadery during their beer release event. The beer is a dark reddish-brown color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Top ring of lacing on the glass with spots underneath. Aroma of roast malt and chocolate. Medium-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, coffee and a bit of licorice. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
