Sample at the brewpub. Pours a murky very dark reddish-brown color with a medium creamy tan head that diminishes steadily to a film. Sheet of lacing on the glass. Aroma of oak, fruit and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of fruity oak, dark malts and a bit of vanilla. The finish is fruity with an earthy malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
