Dark and drinkable. This lager has notes of roast and chocolate but is kept clean, sharp and drinkable thanks to its fermentation with a classic Bohemian lager yeast. This beer has an extended aging (lagering) period to help smooth and round out its distinct flavor.

Sample at the taproom. Brown-black pour with some amber around the edges, and a medium frothy light beige head that recedes gradually to a dense film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and hops. Light-bodied with a roasty malt character and flavors of earthy yeast and hops in the background. The finish is sweet with a roasty malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
