Sample at the taproom during the "Zaftig's 1st Anniversary Party" event on 02/28/2015. The beer pours a clear brownish-amber color with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, oak and caramel malt. Full-bodied with a sweet toffee and malt character as well as flavors of oaky bourbon and fruit. The finish is very sweet with a toffee and malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
