Sample at the taproom during the "One-Year Anniversary Party" on 01/24/2015. Brownish-black color with a thin light tan head that recedes quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and dark chocolate. Light-bodied with flavors of roast malt, coffee and mildly tart fruit. The finish is chocolate malt and berries. The fruitiness doesn’t really work, slightly above average overall.
